I'm Home!

  Having been out of home for more than five years, it feels good to be finally home! My first sojourn out of my comfort zone was in Bukidnon Division as one of it's assistant superintendents. Bukidnon is a large division that is why it has two ASDSs. For almost two years (short of 2 months), I was having a colorful journey, having to deal with the wide expanse of the school division, and the diversity of its people. On top of that, I became a proficient driver, having to drive alone to and from my station in Malaybalay, which is 170 kilometers from my home. I learned how to traverse, the foggy road in Claveria, and to drive home on a stormy weather. Bukidnon Division is home to more than 11,000 teachers and employees. Teachers are distributed in 22 different municipalities (because Bukidnon cities are separate schools divisions). A great number are working in hinterland schools, some of which require hiking, riding horses, raft and in one area, having to boat downriver in a crocod

The New DepED SDO Camiguin Administration Building

 The new division office building in Camiguin was constructed starting January 2020 and was inaugurated on April 8, 2021. It was located in the Government Center in Lakas, Poblacion Mambajao, Camiguin Island. The ground breaking was done on January 8, 2020 with a blessing ceremony presided by Rev Fr. Simene of the Mambajao Parish of San Nicolas de Tolentino., The lowering of time capsule was witnessed by Mayor Yggy Romualdo, Governor JJ Romualdo and Congressman XJ Romualdo. Division employees were also present to witness the groundbreaking ceremony.  The construction was delayed for several months due to the imposition of lockdown nationwide due to the ravaging Covid-19 pandemic.
