ANOTHER ROUND OF INSPECTION WITH THE DEPED ENGINEER

The Division Physical Facilities Coordinator, Mr. Edgardo V. Abanil, and the DepED Engineer, Engr. Sandy Simo made another round of inspection for the on-going BEFF projects in the Division of Gingoog City. The first target was Don Restituto Baol Central School with its on-going 4 classroom-2 storey school building. The forerman has asked permission to pour concrete into the next set of column and column footings. The Physical Facilities made a random check on the size of the steel components and found that on the average, the steel bars are of the prescribed sizes. The next was the project of the same description at Gingoog City Comprehensive National High School. Again the random check was made on the steel components and found to be in accordance with standards. These projects were expected to be usable by the end of September 2011.

MONITORING BEFF CY 2011 WITH THE REGIONAL LEAD ENGINEER

Engr. Ronald Benitez came yesterday to monitor the progress of the school building projects in Gingoog City under the Basic Educational Facilities Fund CY 2011. The total allocation for buildings total to almost 11 Million Pesos for the following projects: 1. Two storey 4 classroom school building at Gingoog City Comprehensive NHS. 2. Two storey 4 classroom school building at Don Restituto Baol CS. 3. One storey 1 classroom school building at Agay-ayan ES 4. One storey 1 classroom school building at Alfonso Ang Militante ES. The said projects are expected to be finished by the month of September 2011.

CONCRETE POURING TODAY AT DRBCS

The contractor, JDE Construction, through its foreman, asked permission to pour foundation concrete at the four classroom, two storey school building at Don Restituto Baol Central School. Seeing that the rebars and gravel bed are in order, permission was give. The Physical Facilities Coordinator, Edgardo V. Abanil personally supervised the pouring of concrete. See photos for details.

The Division PFC Mr. Edgardo V. Abanil and the DepED Engineer Sandy Simo made rounds today to monitor the progress of on-going construction in different sites in the Division of Gingoog City. The site the projects are as follows: 1. One classroom one storey school building at Agay-ayan ES. 2. One classroom one storey school building at Alfonso Ang Militante ES 3. Four classroom two storey school building at Gingoog City Comprehensive National High School 4. Four classroom two storey school building at Don Restituto Baol Central School These projects will continue to be monitored until its completion.

TWO SCHOOL BUILDINGS TO RISE TODAY

The Physical Facilities Coordinator for DepED Gingoog City and the DepED Engineer visited Agay-ayan Elementary School in West District 1 and Alfonso Ang Militante Elementary School in South District to supervise the lay-out of the one-classroom one-storey school buildings for both schools. The project is under the Basic Education Facilities Fund, CY 2011 for Red and Black Schools. Thses two classrooms is part of the 10 Million Pesos BEFF allocation for CY 2011. The other projects are the following: 1. Construction of 3-seater toilet in Pedro Maligmat ES, Daan Lungsod ES, Gingoog City Comp NHS and Mimbunga NHS. 2. Repair of 10 CL at Bal-ason ES 3. Procurement of School Furniture CY 2010 and 2011. 4. Construction of 2 storey 4 CL school buildings at Don Restituto Baol CS and Gingoog City Comp NHS. The whole package of projects amounted to 10 Million Pesos.

POST QUA VISIT TO TWO FIRMS IN BUTUAN CITY

yESTERDAY June 2, the TWG went to Butuan to conduct bank verification and plant visit in connection with the post qualification process for the three firms who posted lowest bid in during the bid opening on May 25, 2011. At end of the day one firm was not able to be post visited due to the absence of the one in-charge. It will be visited later on.
