THREE-CLASSROOM SCHOOL BUILDING AT LURISA NHS INAUGURATED TODAY

It was in 2009 that the first 2 classroom building was inagurated with no less than the Governor of Misamis Oriental present, together with the City Mayor. Then in 2010 they came again when another three classroom building was inaugurated. Today they came back again to inaugurate the third school building for GCCNHS-LURISA ANNEX In his speech Governor Moreno recalled the number of times he came here and also mentioned about his electrification project when he was still a congressman of the First District of Misamis Oriental. He recalled how the former barangay captain of Lunotan cried when the electricity for her barangay (Lunotan) was switched on. Governor Moreno was a little bit saurprised that the enolment of LURISA IS ONLY 195 in stark contrast with the contemporary high school in Rosario, Balingasag which now has more than 800 students.The provincial government of Misamis Oriental has built a total of 132 classrooms including the three now inaugurated. TWO CLASSROOMS JUST COMPLETED IN GINGOOG CITY

Two single - storey classrooms one in Agay-ayan Elementary School and the other in Alfonso Ang Militante Elementary School were recently completed, keys turned over by the contractor to the school head. These two projects are part of the 2011 Basic Education Educational Facilities (BEFF)which is aimed at mitigating classroom shortages. These leave only two projects all two-storeys 4 classroom buildings at Gingoog City Comprehansive National High School and the other one at Don Restituto Baol Central School to be completed soon. The BEFF CY 2011 school building projects cost more than Ten Million Pesos.
