THREE-CLASSROOM SCHOOL BUILDING AT LURISA NHS INAUGURATED TODAY

It was in 2009 that the first 2 classroom building was inagurated with no less than the Governor of Misamis Oriental present, together with the City Mayor. Then in 2010 they came again when another three classroom building was inaugurated. Today they came back again to inaugurate the third school building for GCCNHS-LURISA ANNEX

In his speech Governor Moreno recalled the number of times he came here and also mentioned about his electrification project when he was still a congressman of the First District of Misamis Oriental. He recalled how the former barangay captain of Lunotan cried when the electricity for her barangay (Lunotan) was switched on.
Governor Moreno was a little bit saurprised that the enolment of LURISA IS ONLY 195 in stark contrast with the contemporary high school in Rosario, Balingasag which now has more than 800 students.The provincial government of Misamis Oriental has built a total of 132 classrooms including the three now inaugurated.
With governor are Kag. Caiña of infra comittee, Vice Gov Norris Babiera, Abing Bernaldez and the Provincial Engineer (Pacuribot). The City Executive was represented by Kag. Isaias Arcay and Kag Junjun Militante.
In the middle of the Governor's speech a heavy downpour ensued. The activity ended with the partaking of the foods prepared by the school administration.
This brings to eight the total number of classrooms given by the provincial government to LURISA ANNEX alone.

Begun in 2007, the three-storey fifteen classroom school building finally stood proud on December 18, 2010 in the middle of the former wooden classrooms, part of which were already demolished for being so dilapidated. The Documents of the Defunct Eureka Integrated School

Eureka Integrated School was established in 2005 to give Eureka elementary graduates a chance to proceed to high school without travelling to Kalipay NHS or to the city of Gingoog, which would mean additional expenses, which many of the parents there cannot afford. The first school head of the Integrated School was Mr. Edgardo V. Abanil, Principal I who was transferred from Sio-an Elementary School to manage the newly-opened integrated school. One teacher item was given and the first high school teacher was Ms. Farah Abucay who handled 85 learners. Later on, additional items were given and the number of teachers rose to 5. However, after many years, the Division of Gingoog City decided to dis aggregate the two schools .
