PUBLIC BIDDING OF BASIC EDUCATION FACILITIES FUND PROJECTS CY 2011

In order to promote transparency in all government procurement projects, the Bids and Awards Committee of DepED Gingoog City conducted a public bidding on May 26, 2011 for the following projects for CY 2011:

1. Construction of 3-seater Type II toilets in Daan Lungsod ES, Pedro Maligmat ES, Mimbunga NHS, and Gingoog City Comprehensive National High School. These construction projects will address the lack of water and sanitary facilities in most schools.

2. Repair of 10 CL at Bal-ason Elementary School. The school's classrooms were so dilapidated that a major facelifting is needed.

This bidding was done after a mandatory posting at the PhilGEPS website (PhilGEPS stands for Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System), which can be accessed by practically everybody all over the world.

After the bid opening, a bid evaluation and post qualification will be done to determine the lowest calculated and responsive bid (LCRB).

The Documents of the Defunct Eureka Integrated School

Eureka Integrated School was established in 2005 to give Eureka elementary graduates a chance to proceed to high school without travelling to Kalipay NHS or to the city of Gingoog, which would mean additional expenses, which many of the parents there cannot afford. The first school head of the Integrated School was Mr. Edgardo V. Abanil, Principal I who was transferred from Sio-an Elementary School to manage the newly-opened integrated school. One teacher item was given and the first high school teacher was Ms. Farah Abucay who handled 85 learners. Later on, additional items were given and the number of teachers rose to 5.
