Begun in 2007, the three-storey fifteen classroom school building finally stood proud on December 18, 2010 in the middle of the former wooden classrooms, part of which were already demolished for being so dilapidated. This design is the first of its kind in Mindanao. The other 18 CL in Gingoog City Comprehensive National High School was built by the Provincial Giovernment of Misamis Oriental, with counterpart from the City Government of Gingoog City. Two single - storey classrooms one in Agay-ayan Elementary School and the other in Alfonso Ang Militante Elementary School were recently completed, keys turned over by the contractor to the school head. These two projects are part of the 2011 Basic Education Educational Facilities (BEFF)which is aimed at mitigating classroom shortages. These leave only two projects all two-storeys 4 classroom buildings at Gingoog City Comprehansive National High School and the other one at Don Restituto Baol Central School to be completed soon. The BEFF CY 2011 school building projects cost more than Ten Million Pesos.
In or der t o promote transparency in all government procurement projects, the Bids and Awards Committee of DepED Gingoog City conducted a public bidding on May 26, 2011 for the following projects for CY 2011: 1. Construction of 3-seater Type II toilets in Daan Lungsod ES, Pedro Maligmat ES, Mimbunga NHS, and Gingoog City Comprehensive National High School. These construction projects will address the lack of water and sanitary facilities in most schools. 2. Repair of 10 CL at Bal-ason Elementary School. The school's classrooms were so dilapidated that a major facelifting is needed. This bidding was done after a mandatory posting at the PhilGEPS website (PhilGEPS stands for Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System), which can be accessed by practically everybody all over the world. After the bid opening, a bid evaluation and post qualification will be done to determine the lowest calculated and responsive bid (LCRB).
